Never Mind The Booshcocks...NEWS

We can confirm that Noel Fielding will take over as team captain from
Bill Bailey for three weeks in the new series of Never Mind The
Buzzcocks, which will be on telly in November.

'When Bill asked me to cover for him as team captain on Buzzcocks I
was delighted to be his first choice. Only after I agreed to do it did
I realise that I was actually 104th on the list behind Andrew, his
long-eared rabbit. Although, to be fair, Andrew is on fire at the
moment.' (chortle.co.uk) Apply for audience tickets here

Episode 1 of Series 3 of the Mighty Boosh, EELS, is still set to hit
BBC Three screens at 10.30pm on Thursday 15th November. We've seen a
copy and it sees the welcome return of some popular characters from
both previous series, as well as a performance from our very own Queen
of the Mods as part of the Hoxton Elite. There is also a new song
which will stick in your minds and drive you mad.

Rich Fulcher, Matt Berry. Simon Farnaby, Waen Shepherd and some other
comedy stars will appear in Golf War on E4 at 11.30pm on Monday 5th
November. It is a sitcom about two rival golf clubs and promises to
be very funny.

Rich Fulcher appears live on Thursday 1st November at Clarks' at The
Albany in London 020 7387 5706. The night is hosted by Dan Clark
(Johhny Two Hats in series 1) and always sells out quickly.

October Update - jiffies on their way!

Hello everyone

As of late Wednesday 17th October the next batch of jiffies was sent out so you should receive yours in the next few days.

Your Modwolves membership includes the patch you’ve already received, three more badges and a mystery gift! The badge you have just received doesn’t count as one of these – it’s an extra by way of an apology for the lack of having received anything over the past few months. This has been due to the boys writing, filming and editing the third series (the best reason for nothing happening I guess) so things should pick up again shortly! Also memberships have been extended until March 2008 for free to make up for the recent lull. We’ll let you know as soon as we have the transmission date for Series 3.

Hope you like the badges.. it’s not a never been seen design but its very appropriate to us Modwolves and it has the Modwolves writing that Noel designed for us.. nobody else will have these badges so they are exclusive to us.

The next badge is being designed by a member of the Boosh team as we speak (keeping this under wraps) and hopefully should be out within a month – followed by the special gift which we are pricing and sourcing at the moment… it will be something pretty special – any ideas or suggestions for this then please email Modwolves@themightyboosh.co.uk or better still post on the forum.

Please do join the forum as there is a real Modwolves community there and it’s very friendly and welcoming and is a great place to catch up on Boosh news and competitions and to be involved in unofficial Modwolves meet-ups around the UK. Also, if you didn’t put your email address on your application form or haven’t received any emails since joining, please please email modwolves@themightyboosh.co.uk so we can add you to the list so you don’t miss out on anything as news can’t be sent through the post.

Thanks for your patience but we are hoping that normal service will be resumed shortly and jiffies should be arriving on your doormat at quite a rate!!

EXTRAS COMPETITION

Hello everyone

Thanks for your patience over the past few months... it's been quite quiet as the boys have been frantically writing series 3 so we've had to postpone meeting up a number of times. However, I do have a competition which should hopefully make up for it.

I am pleased to say that we can offer one lucky Modwolve (and a friend) the chance to appear as an extra in the third series of the Mighty Boosh. Both must be 16 or over (you must already have had your 16th birthday) - there is absolutely no way around this age restriction so please don't ask. It is for health & safety and insurance reasons from Babycow, not us. (There will be a competition for under 16s only - see below)

Filming for this scene is currently schedule to take place between 24th and 31st July but is currently subject to change - as we approach the start of filming for the Boosh this will be finalised. The lucky winner will become part of the audience in a gig scene so must be trendy in appearance!! (But all Boosh fans are...)

Filming will take place in a secret location in Surrey which will be disclosed to the winner. You must both be able to get yourselves to and from the venue. I should also be going down on set along with the competition winners.

To enter please email competition@themightyboosh.co.uk and answer the following question and make sure you state your age, date of birth and membership number.

"I should be an extra in the Boosh because..." (No more than 50 words).

Winner will be drawn on 6th July

Here is the boring bit....
You must be able to prove your age before details of the prize are released and again when we meet on the set. (Sorry to be pedantic!) Otherwise you won't be let on set and you will be jeopardising Modwolves from getting future exlusive opportunities such as this.

There will be a separate (yet unfortunately far less exciting) competition run for the under 16s but at least if the over 16s are disqualified there will be more chance of winning.

Also - while we're running competitions, this is more of a freebie giveaway... the lovely people at Lush, whose MD is a massive Boosh fan (as you will soon see) have given us some Boosh eye liners and Goth Juice styling gel to give away to Modwolves. These will be sent out along with the next gift (Noel is working on the design so we will have these out to you asap - again, huge apologies for the delay, hoping to have the next two out at once). So you may be lucky enough to get some Lush goodies named in honour of the Boosh. For more details of these products, please go to the Modwolves news blog for links of where you can buy them.

What else.. what else...?

I've heard directly both from Noel and Paul King that series 3 is shaping up to be by far the best yet. So don't believe everything you read in the press... it'll be great to have some proper Boosh stuff to tell you about and hopefully it will hit our screens without delay in the Autumn, soon to be followed by the next Boosh outing.

So, lots of excitement in the pipeline and I'm hoping to meet Noel soon for the next podcast and to get his next batch of artwork and to pester him in general on your behalves...

Hope this finds you all well.

Change of Address

Hi all

Unless you have an email from us saying otherwise, we are unable to change any more postal addresses. The policy has changed as follows... if your address changes you can let us know by email but you will need to send further stamped addressed jiffies as it is impossible to dig out the envelopes from the jiffy mountain and we are unable to provide, address and stamp any envelopes on your behalf. Sorry if this causes any inconvenience but we do suggest that you use a permanent address if you are at college or university - perhaps your parents or a friend. It's just impossible for us to do anything else.

Thanks
