News update

Hi all

Few bits and pieces of news, we’ll hopefully have a lot more details of The Mighty Book of Boosh to share with you (including signings around the country) and some sneaky peeks at some of the contents. The official release date is 18th September 2008 and you can preoder the book at a bargain £11.39 (RRP is £18.99) in the BOOSH SHOP - it goes to print on Monday and I can tell you, it’s worth every single little penny, it is truly Mighty.

Tonight Noel appears on E4 in Dolly & Laura’s Funny Cuts at 11:40pm so tune in to watch.

Here’s a link to Dolly & Laura on the Baby Cow website

and another for their facebook event

Also, Dan Clark (Johnny Two Hats in series 1 of the Boosh) has his own sitcom “How Not To Live Your Life” on BBC Three from Tuesday 12th August at 10:20pm – highly recommended.

Modwolves membership has been extended again until at least the end of Sept 08 – there are going to be more bonus gifts but as all the jiffies have been sent out we will be addressing and stamping the next lot ourselves so want to send stuff out in one go!

It’s pretty quiet on the Boosh front at the moment but believe me, it’s going to go to the extreme in a few months time!!

Win Tickets to the Mighty Boosh Festival

The Mighty Boosh have launched their own festival! You can buy tickets via this link - HERE!

Or.

odwolves is pleased to be launching an exciting competition for the summer which should get your mind tanks whirring and your creativity flowing! We are offering two lucky Modwolves the chance to win a pair of tickets to this years first ever Mighty Boosh festival at the Hop Farm in Kent. Not only that but (thanks to your feedback) we are offering up to £100 towards transport and accommodation (courtesy of Modwolves) so those of you from further afield can enter.

As this is such a monumental prize, we are asking you to design a “Modwolves at The Mighty Boosh festival” themed badge for Modwolves to wear at the festival – or just to wear about town if you can’t get to the festival!

You can use as many colours as you like but remember we need room to put the Modwolves written logo and also remember that your design will be shrunk down to a 32mm circular badge. All designs will also be judged on these criteria. Please also remember that if you use any official Boosh logos/images these will be subject to Modwolves being able to clear their use with Noel/Julian/Boosh management. By entering this competition you are signing over your rights to your design for Modwolves to exploit around the world in all media for perpetuity (legal bumpf but in reality your design will be on the website and on the badges themselves).

The closing date for this competition is Friday 16th May in order to give us time to produce the badges and get the remaining Modwolves gifts ready to send out in the final jiffy mail shot so if your design is received after this time we won’t be able to consider it. The winners will be picked by none other than Mr. Dave Brown (Patron Saint of Modwolves aka Bollo).

We are waiting for confirmation from the promoter regarding any age restrictions for the festival which will have a knock on to the competition. Once we have heard this will work in one of two ways.

1) Two ticket winners will be chosen – an under 18s winner and an over 18+ winner. The best design of the two will be made into the badge and both winning designs will receive a pair of tickets.

2) Two ticket winners will be chosen – both 18+. A separate competition for under 18s will be run with the prize being something pretty special (probably something even better than going to the Boosh festival!) The best design of the three will be made into the badge and both 18+ winning designs will receive a pair of tickets.

Sorry this is so confusing but we’re trying to be fair to everyone and the under 18s have missed out big time over the past few years! So entry is open to all Think that’s all you need to know! Get your designs in quick!

Please send your designs in via email to competition@themightyboosh.co.uk

or through the post to

Please make sure you include your name, address, postcode and date of birth (very important) as well as your membership number if you have it.

Boosh Night on BBCThree

Hi all

Here is the exciting news...

Saturday 22nd March is Boosh night on BBC Three.

The plan is to show a documentary about the Boosh, which is being put together at the moment, along with six of the best episodes of the Boosh. Noel and Julian will be doing live links before and after the documentary (which goes out at 9:30pm and we’re looking for a studio audience full of Boosh fans (who are keen to dress up as characters from the show) to take part. There may very well be a special prize for the person who dresses up most spectaularly so bear that in mind! More details nearer the time.

Please bear in mind that the links will total 5 minutes so it won’t be like a normal recording. However, we’re told that Noel and Julian will be happy to come out a bit before and say hello to everyone and maybe do some signing (though we cannot guarantee the signing). The audience will be let into the studio at about 8:15pm and doors will open at.... The audience will be able to watch the documentary live in the studio but the studio will be cleared straight after the second link (not that we haven’t all memorised all of the episodes anyway!!)

BUT (and this is VERY important)... the studio capacity is 292 people but due to the nature of TV recordings the BBC will send out more tickets than they have room to accommodate as people reserve tickets and don’t turn up yet they need the studio to be full.

So here is the link to apply for tickets....

BBC TICKET SITE

We will have 5 pairs of priority tickets (guaranteed entry) to give away but in the meantime apply for tickets and make sure you arrive at the studio in very good time.
